Backstage With Becca B. Ep. 52 with Jillian Butler

On this episode I talked with Jillian about her experience at Boston Conservatory, how it helped prepare to audition for Broadway and National Tours, getting to go on a tour as magical as the R+H Cinderella tour, her reaction when she got cast in the National Tour of Wicked and what her audition process was like, getting to understudy iconic roles such as Glinda and NessaRose, whether she thinks she’s more of a Cosette or Eponine, getting to play lead Cosette on the National Tour of Les Miserables, how her Cosette is different and more likable from an audience perspective than the character has been in the past, her dream roles on stage, and MUCH more!

Jillian Butler (she/her)

Jillian Butler is the definition of a “triple threat"! Most recently, you might have gotten to see Jillian on tour starring as Cosette in Les Misérables. Jillian has also been on the National Tour of Wicked where she understudied both Glinda and NessaRose and the National Tour of Cinderella. Jillian studied Musical Theater at the Boston Conservatory where she was a proud Tap Tutor for three years. Her love of tap and dance is something that has helped her immensely as a professional artist.
