Backstage With Becca B. Ep. 76 with Hannah Jewel Kohn

On this episode I talked with Hannah about how she really got into theatre and discovered her love for theatre, why regional theatre though often under appreciated is so special, the moment she realized that she had the talent and could in fact make a career out of theatre, her audition process for the Frozen tour, her reaction when she was cast to be in the show, how rehearsing for a show at it’s beginning helps build believable chemistry between cast members of that show, which choreography in Frozen is the most challenging, how long it took for all the choreography to come together, why people of all ages should come see the Frozen Tour when it resumes, her dream role in theatre and why, how she works on self confidence in this industry, the company she co-founded “Bringing You Broadway” which brings theatre and the arts to kids with disabilities, the virtual concert “Bringing You Broadway” has that’s coming up on April 2nd, and MUCH MORE!

Hannah currently resides in New York City and looks forward to re-joining her cast on the First National Broadway Tour of Disney's Frozen! Hannah is a lover of ALL people and the arts and has had a long-standing passion for bringing communities together through entertainment. As a young adult, she co-founded a traveling group of performers, providing entertainment and community services to seniors in residence facilities. She has since volunteered at children’s hospitals, schools, and shelters bringing music and light to those most vulnerable. Recently, she recorded music for Dick Wagner’s “Remember the Child”. When the pandemic hit, Hannah created two companies "Bringing You Broadway" which brings theatre to kids with special needs and “Jewel Focus” a virtual program leading individuals through the practice of meditation, cultivating fearlessness and providing basic communal support. She also teaches Master Classes for Broadway Connections, Broadway Plus, and ArtsBridge foundation among many other organizations.
